My Gambling Background
My name is Artimus Paint. I have a PhD in Psychology and a background in statistics. Despite having a good salary, I left the 9-5 grind over 10 years ago. My work hours were longer than 9-5 and I valued my time more than money. Since then, I have started various internet businesses.
I have made 6 figures “gambling” online. I achieved that over 10 years. I had a full-time job as well for 4 of those years. I made this money from backgammon, poker, matched betting and sports trading.
I have written on a range of gambling games, including backgammon, poker and sports trading. I have been a feature columnist for the largest online backgammon magazine. My articles were all on strategy.
My current interest is trading on horse racing and football. I am the author of the book “Directional Trading – Red Pill Trading”, which you can see in the sidebar of my blog.

If you want an edge in any game, you need to use as much information as possible. There are sports trading gurus, who promote one-variable strategies. Could trading be as easy as this? I don’t believe so.
They say that 95% of traders lose money. This means that, becoming a successful trader is less probable than signing up for a university degree course and ending up with a degree.
I’ve studied many gambling games and met many gamblers. Successful gamblers have one thing in common. They are always looking for edges and methods to increase their edge. They would never refuse to use knowledge, that might improve their bottom line.
Unlike the trading gurus, I use form, as well as many other variables, to find edges and improve my edges in trading.
